After pairing my phone (Nokia smarphone) with the Q, everytime I get in, the phone is not automatically connected. I have to manually go and connect it with the car. What settings can I adjust in MMI to have this auto-paird each time?

A couple things to try:
1. Start fresh. Unpair the phone and reset both the phone and the MMI. The MMI has a 3 button press to reset it, though I forget which ones. Then try pairing again.
2. Create a profile for your phone in the MMI. This saves your contacts so it's not always trying to sync your whole phone book each time it pairs. You get faster access to your contacts.
3. Check for any OS updates to your phone. There might be a newer Bluetooth stack.
Good luck!

Sounds like a phone setting. Make sure the phone is set to always connect vs ask to connect or never connect.
