if only it had the M57 Diesel motor....
I had a 2008 535i with the HPFP issues, three times among other issues. Called BMW of N.A. and they bought it back, no questions asked. Best customer service ever. Too bad I would not trust another BMW because they really are a great company. But are you sure the new X3 suffers the same issues? Since it's the new single scroll turbo? It's a slightly different engine than I had.

N55 is different from N54. So far no evidence of HPFP issues with N55. Only time will tell.

I tested both vehicles. To me, X3 is a better vehicle in terms of handling (especially if equipped with the dynamic handling package), performance, and notably braking. Q5 has a better design, and having spare is a plus.

Just to add - Audi really should offer optional sport suspension on Q5 (see A4), and improve the brake feel.

From what's been seen on the forums, N55 engines have also had fuel pump issues. Not to the extent of the N54's but some people have had their HPFP's fail after a few thousand miles.

Tick! That's what I've read also.

Wouldn't that be the 'Audi Drive Select' and switch to the Dynamic setting?

Audi drive select is a $3k option, and only available with the 3.2 Prestige. X3's dynamic handling package can be ordered with either model and costs $1.4K.

A4 range's sport package is a more reasonable option.

Was a legit question since you said should offer not should offer cheaper on more styles.

When did this forum go porno?

What is the mileage? That was one of the main factors on our Q5 purchase and the 2.0T delivers.

Back to the original post...

Turns out it isn't just BMW offering us a discount. I just received a mailing from a local DC area Mercedes dealer offering up to $2,000 towards a new MB for their "Competitor Conquest Program" by trading in my Audi.
