I've had other cars that called for new rotors as well. When questioned, they say that they no longer make them oversize to save on weight and costs manufacturing them.
I find this very believable in this day and age with many manufacturers cutting costs as much as possible.

I just ordered new pads and rotors but the pads didnt come with the sensor. maybe i missed it, but i was wondering, does the Wear senor need to be replaced too?

If the sensor was tripped then you need to replace it. If it hasn't been activated yet, you can use it over and over.

Ok. Thanks. Is there a specific reason it has to be replaced only if the dash light comes on? My wife said it came on yesterday, but when i drove it today there were no lights on.
