I have monsoon grey, it's been great. Very durable, hides dirt (I don't wash it that often). It looks good too.

Monsoon grey goes real well with some of the darker detail colour in the front grill and bumper. Also find that colour match with rims is also to my taste. My 2 cents but then I'm biased :-).

Just picked up monsoon gray 3.0T. Had moonlight blue Q5 before. Loved the color I but monsoon gray is amazing. I absolutely love it so far.

Default Thank you for all the input!

Thank you everyone for the advice and this discussion has really confirmed that I should go with Monsoon Grey! I really like the look of black, but I had never considered Phantom Black Pearl. I figured if I am spending $750 for a colour, it might as well be for a colour that I would be happier to live with. Do not get me wrong, Phantom Black is a beautiful colour, but I would like a lower maintenance colour if I had a choice.

I have to admit, I am quite obsessive when it comes to my cars. Every little scratch or imperfection really irks me. Someone put a nasty gouge in my A4's rear door and although the grey hid it quite well, I had the entire door changed.

I had one more question, does anyone with a 2013 Q5 have problems with brake dust? I know this has been an area of contention for a while, but I tremendously dislike how much brake dust my A4 generates.

A friend of mine who was a professional detailer used to say about black cars- "they only come in two conditions, either they're being washed or they're dirty" A lot of truth to that statement. Go with the Monsoon Grey.

For me, if it's not going to be black, then white or light silver. Sorry, but Monsoon Grey looks like grey porch paint to me. My last three cars were black, but the boxy style of almost all SUVs benefits from a color with some pop. It's no accident that the Q5 shown in the on-line Audi brochure is silver. I know there are a lot of silver cars on the street, but I'm sure all the Mercedes and Porsche owners feel pretty special riding in their silver SL's and 911s.
