Can't figure this thing out--MMI nav destinations

Also, if you press the voice command button on your steering wheel and say "navigate to destination ie. home, school, etc", then it will navigate to the saved address that you have in the car directory.
You can also save previous destinations so they are in your directory and not in the list of previous ones that auto delete after there are a certain maximum number of entries.

Nope. That is not my experience. If my phone is paired and I ask for a destination that is duplicate to my phone and my car directory then I get two options one with a cell phone next to it and one with a car icon next to it. I choose the car and it asks me if I want to start route guidance.
