Hi all,
I picked up my new loaded 2012 Q5 2.0T Premium Plus last night. Before I even accepted delivery of the car I ordered myself some aftermarket chrome fog light covers from Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0064VJNWK/). I loved the look of the chrome on the 3.2 6 cyl but went with the smaller engine for better fuel economy.
I've seen 2.0T's on the road with these rings before, but mine didn't fit up right and the "tape" on the back wasn't sticky enough to grip my finger let alone the fog light.
If anyone can recommend a place I can get good ones, please let me know. It would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your time.

Hi Nick,
I ordered and installed the same rings on mine and you are right, the tape sucks. The fit is actually not that bad when you install them using silicone.
First dry fit until you are sure you have the right ring for each side. Remove the backing from the tape strips. Then I used "clear bath silicone", placed a good amount of the goop all around the inside of each ring, and put them in place. Be careful to remove any excess silicone, but leave enough to fill any little gaps that are present.
Let it dry overnight before driving and wait 48 hours before washing. Mine have not moved since I installed them over a year ago and they look good![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Hope this helps.
