I did a search, but didn't see this particular issue mentioned. I have noticed (more than a few times) that when both driver and passenger temps are set exactly the same, the drive side will be blowing cold air, and the passenger side will be blowing hot air. It's always the same...driver cold, passenger hot air. The temp. of the air coming from the vents has a huge delta. It's very annoying when the middle two vents are fighting each other.
I can't believe this is how it is suppose to work. I get the whole dual climate thing, but there's no way they should be fighting each other when they're both set the same. Also, it doesn't matter where the sun is located (light intensity measurement), it's always the same.
Any thoughts? It almost seems like the temp sensors aren't working correctly...and I'd say its the passenger temp sensor.

The system is suppose to measure solar radiation received on each side, so the side with the sun shining will get cooler air and the side in the shade warmer air. If yours is not in relationship to the sun, there may be a problem.

Mine had this behavior since day one when it was enough outside to use air conditioner. It doesn't bother me much though, and I never thought it's actually a problem. Will ask dealership if it's normal or not.

I've found overall it's a little over aggressive in cool weather with the solar sensor. Blows cold air on you too early. Overall it's only a semi-automatic system and we use manual controls for vents and have to fiddle with the temperature a fair amount. The blower also makes a mildly annoying hum above medium speed. Cabin air filter is new, so its' not that... or maybe that's the cause and it goes away once more dirty.
