Definitely impressive. Audi has been getting it right over the last few years. Great engines, exterior designs, interiors, and excellent reliability. It was a different picture not that many years ago... I hope they keep it up now that they got it right!

I'm a subscriber, and I noticed in the summary table, they present each manufacturer's average reliability, along with the manufacturer's best and worst model (in terms of reliability) in the survey.
Lexus is clearly in first, with an average brand score of 52% better than average. The next three are tightly packed, with #2 Toyota at 37% better than average, #3 Acura at 36% better than average, and then #4 Audi at 34% better. There's a bit of a gap to #5 Mazda at 27%.
Interestingly, the survey shows the A6 4 cyl as the most reliable model in the brand lineup. Unfortunately, the consumer feedback is the Q5 4 cyl is the least reliable of all the Audi models. It only shows those two models; there is no further information about other versions of the Q5.
Keep that in perspective. That Q5 model is still better than average, it just comes up short relative to other Audi models. In fact, the summary makes this key point:
Moreover, every model from Audi, GMC, and Volvo scored average or better.

That is indeed strange because those cars share engines, transmissions, and many other components. The question is if the difference in consumer feedback for those cars is significant or minor.

I was reading another article on the CR report and it called out the A6, Q7 and AllRoad as Audi's most reliable models. The AllRoad is also VERY close to the Q5 in engine, trans and other components.
