Pull dent, fill, sand, scuff entire panel and adjoining panels, paint panel and blend into adjoining panels, and finally clear all 3 panels. I'll guess $600-800.00.

That's about what we paid to have a door redone on our A4 after some idiot parked next to us decided he didn't care about letting his door fly open into the side of our car. I would say it's in that same ball park of about $700.

Thanks so much, folks! I am trying to attach a link to a pic, can you see it? The problem is that the scratch crosses the passenger door and the piece next to it. Also, paint is Daytona Grey, so it has pearl effect. Guess it will be more than $1000? Also, given the condition of scratch, it won't be rusty soon, right?
I will go to 2 body shops to have it checked and will let you guys know. I probably will just leave it like that if it does not get rusty soon.
What you guys think? What sucks is that it is a 1-week new Q5! anyway, that is how life is, at least, I am safe, that is most important.

Additionally, what surface rust might come up(if any) in the next few weeks is nothing to worry about.

thanks. went to audi body shop yesterday, they quoted for 1.8k estimate, went to another local one, quoted 1.2-1.5k, but he was suggesting that I could just try to use some wax to get rid of it first. i ll try that this weekend, and decide not to fix it for now.
