newbie here! Aside from the 6 year/100,000 from start date, is cpo warranty coverage the same as 4 year new warranty coverage?

As I was told, yes. It is a factory warranty from Audi.

Audi

The Audi certified pre-owned warranty program accepts any vehicle that's 5 years old or newer with 60,000 or fewer miles on the odometer. To get the most out of the warranty, you'll want to purchase the newest model possible, and one with less than 50,000 miles. The certified pre-owned warranty extends the original bumper-to-bumper coverage by 2 years or up to 50,000 miles, capping it at 6 years or 100,000 miles. That's a pretty good certified pre-owned warranty; most rival brands extend only the powertrain warranty rather than the far more comprehensive bumper-to-bumper plan. Our only complaint is that the warranty includes an $85 deductible per visit.

Is that 85$ actually every visit? or only when warranty work is actually needed/done?

Deductible on my one CPO warranty visit was $50 Canadian plus tax. I believe its a per claim deductible so if you have multiple issues addressed at the same time, the deductible applies to each item, not visit.

I just had my '14 SQ5, with 93K miles, in for service under the CPO warranty.

The dealer replaced both front wheel bearings...total cost to me was $85...no questions asked!

I think it's a very good thing!

I just bought a CPO SQ5 from a Canadian dealer.
we only pay $50 per claim

and my SQ got brand new 21” Pirelli’s installed because the tires that were on the vehicle were at the limit, so that alone was worth the $2700 (Cdn$) CPO price.

factory warranty remaining - no deductible.
the CPO warranty is the one with the deductible
