Default Crack or cut in rear door handle "grab"

Hi.
Just noticed the other day about an inch long crack, or cut, in the rear door handle "grab".
I am super careful with my baby, and dont see how this could have been done. Hardly anyone sits in that back seat either.
Is it possible to just "crack" on itself?
Anyone else notice this on theirs?
Thanks all.

I have one on the inside of the driver side rear door as well. You can not see it and I thought it was just a rough plastic mold seam. The other three do not have it though.
