You have to tell them you want an OEM windshield. I have allstate and got a stone chip the first month I had my Q5 which after one day ran straight accross the windshield. Since the car was brand new they had no problem ordering one from the factory. I had to wait a week for it to go to safelite and they did the repair satisfactorily. There was one small paint chip at the top of the window I had to fix and the windshield is ever so slightly crooked but I am a bit critical. No leaks that I can tell of now almost two years.

i have geico as well and I got the option to have the dealer install the windshield. Geico just paid me for the claim after i provided proof of payment and the work order from the dealer.
