Exactly. The real surprising part is that no real body work is needed. The hood, wings, etc. are fine. I can only imagine how much more it could have been. I think if the bumpers had met, the damage would have been less due to the impact absorbers. The trailer hitch has no give and the front end just took all of the impact and spread it out.
I love the paintball idea. I'm going to use it on all the left-lane nappers in WA.

I have a 2014 Q5 Premium Plus (non-SLine) 3.0 TDI. I removed the license plate mounting plate on the front of the car. The front grill filler plate I purchased and installed is part number: 8R0-807-287-E/8R0-807-287-D. This is gloss black (T94) and for a Q5 with parking sensors.
