Default Demand for 2.0TFSI

Dropped by the dealer today to get my non-tag license plate front grill filler and they say that this Q5 drivetrain model is in very high demand and sell before they hit their inventory , lately. Claim that this scenario is nationwide. They do still have the Teakwood/Cardamom P+ on the lot....but it's the only 2.0 unit they have. Not a good color on the Q in my opinion, but on the A8L it might be stunning.

So, how's the inventory of the Q5 2.0TFSI units in your neck of the woods?

Same here in CT. We picked up our new Q5 2.0T and the dealer said he has everyone of his incoming Q5 2.0T sold out for the next 2 months. He said he is only taking orders now for 2 months out. He does have 3.2s.

A 2.0t p/p with navigation is a hot car & in short supply.

Lots of dealers did not get an allocation to even build q5s last mo.

I think it's going to be slim pickins by the holidays, and good luck finding a 2.0t q5, especially with nav in a few months.

I check out the inventory of my local dealers... and definately there is something going on with inventory with the 2.0 P+ with nav. For whatever reason, the dealer I bought from decided to price those cars about $8k above MSRP. Wierd.

With the revamped BMW X3 about to debut it's the wrong time for Aud's Q5 inventory to dry up. I'm sure they'll rectify.

Slim..... About 3 weeks ago I ordered a 2.0 PP white with black interior, B&O, but no Nav. I want it like yesterday so if my salesman was able to locate one without the B&O I would have took it. Two dealerships told me there weren't any in the region and possibly on the east coast. So now I play the waiting game. It sucks, but it gives me time to pay off some bills before the new bill comes.

My salesman said he is going to see if he can get me my VIN. Is there anyway I can track her and see how the process is moving along? Also what a realistic wait time for a build?

If you build one to your specifications from scratch, it'll take anywhere from 4-6 months. If the dealer you're working with already has vehicles partially built, sometimes they can alter the order to your specifications. This process usually takes around 2 months.
