The G Man is pretty right on! I just spoke to the GM at my dealership and he told me that they (Audi) would not increase production to compromise quality over quantity. They had no plans to increase Q5 production...... He had just returned from a trip to the factory in Ingolstadt, Germany.

That's good to hear that emphasis on quality!

So, what's the current average US wait for an ordered 2.0T P+ these days?

I don't know what happens if you order today, but I ordered mine 8/13 and was told to expect delivery this week or next.

I was at my local MA Audi dealer last week, no Q5 in stock, 2.0T or 3.2.

It was 2 months when I ordered in the 3rd Week of September and expecting delivery around 3rd week of november.

Ordering now may increase the wait time due to the christmas and new year period. Im not sure how that affects production or shipping.

Although I'm leaning towards the Q5 I'm awaiting more '11 X3 insight so I can deal with a couple months wait if necessary. Thanks.

The new X3 will match the Q5 in many ways, but it's going to be thousands of dollars more.

Here's an interesting review of the 2011 x3, in the end, I agree with the reviewer, it's not as classy as the Q5.
