I wouldn't expect to see a drop of more than 1-2 mpg compared to A5 (18/27 with Auto)
16/26 or about is possible. The 2.0T is only 10% more fuel efficient.

"The two-liter TFSI engine is equipped with the new Audi valvelift system that regulates the valve lift variably in two stages. Unlike on the 3.2 FSI in the Audi A6, here it acts on the exhaust valves. Together with the intake camshaft that can be adjusted through 60 degrees, it improves the charge cycle and further boosts pulling power. The driver experiences the AVS system as a technology designed to enhance driving fun - it guarantees a spontaneous, dynamic torque buildup."
I thought the valvelift only operated on the intake, on both the 3.2L and 2.0T, even the cutaway drawing of the 2.0T shows that the valvelift is only for the intake valve.

I wish they'd take a shot in one direction or another - MT6, TDI, 2.0T - but only the naturally aspirated gas V6 slushbox? yawn...
No wonder BMW "isn't concerned".
I like the style and the rest of the package, but forced induction should be mandatory in SUV's these days, in some form or another... (more power and better economy!)
