I have the same exact problem with my 2017 Q5, My wife (5'2) drives the Q5 and she's been complaining about the driver side mirror blocking her view when making left turns, parking etc. ever since we bought the vehicle in 2017. I have read plenty articles online about others complain about this as well. Is there an official recall or settlement lawsuit available for this poor design issue from Audi at all? She had an accident last week on a small 4 way stop and she completely missed the sedan on the left side. Now it's on the body shop and looking around 8-10K on the fix. What are my options?

My issue is with review-mirror blocking a view of the right part of intersections but the solution is the same: pay attention to the intersection when pulling up to it, and move my head if I need to.

I have a Q5, 2.0T and I have been close to accidents on a daily basis due to left mirror ( drivers side)moving seat up is not an option for me as I am as short as short gets and can’t touch peddles . I believe they need to recall these mirrors as they would with any vehicle that is causing accidents , close calls. I mean this is what recalls are for

I'm 6'2" and squat low on the seat setting to accommodate more head room. I came to realize after a few weeks of ownership that the driver side mirror indeed blocks my 10-11 O'clock position. Honestly, I have to exaggerate my body position by leaning forward just to make certain I am clear for the left hander or anyone in a crosswalk on occasion. Is it the end all for me? Nah, but it's noticeable and I can appreciate the coverage when I'm set back changing lanes on the highway.

We have owned the 2010 Q5 just shy of two weeks and both noticed the blind spot due to the driver's mirror. It's refreshing to know it isn't just us getting old.

I finally came on here to see if it was just me or if anyone else was experiencing this! Thank you all for your comments! I feel better as it has been so concerning no matter how I tried to adjust my seat! Not really good for a short person!
Im glad to hear Audi has adjusted it with the new vehicles!
