According to Edmunds.com, 2.0T is quicker than the 3.2. That can't be.... any thoughts, Bueller.... PeerBlock?
Powertrains and Performance
The 2012 Audi Q5 2.0T comes standard with all-wheel drive and a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 engine good for 211 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission is standard. EPA-estimated fuel economy is 20 mpg city/27 mpg highway and 22 mpg combined. In recent Edmunds testing, a Q5 2.0T accelerated to 60 mph in 6.8 seconds, a performance on par with the Audi's peers.
The Audi Q5 3.2 gets a 3.2-liter V6 that produces 270 hp and 243 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed automatic is standard. Surprisingly, the Q5 3.2 took just a little longer to reach 60 mph than the 2.0T, registering a 7.0-second run. Estimated fuel economy stands at 18 mpg city/23 mpg highway and 20 mpg combined, which is tops among similarly powered all-wheel-drive crossovers. Towing capacity with the 3.2 is above average, with a 4,400-pound rating when properly equipped.

Not EPA approved.....yet. If it does come, it must be clean diesel with Adblue if V6 TDI engine is used, and the US models have different regulations from EU standards, so it will have to have slight changes to the emission systems and programming.
For me, the 2.0T with 8 speed feels bettered geared at all speeds. The 3.2 6 speed feel dogged down when accelerating at certain speeds.

The 3.0t (supercharge) is coming!!! Forget about the 3.2 motor.
http://www.fourtitude.com/news/publi...cle_7704.shtml
"Producing even more power is the new 3.0 TFSI – the three-liter V6 with supercharging, which replaces the 3.2-liter engine. This engine outputs 200 kW (272 hp) of power and 400 Nm (295.02 lb-ft) of torque. Key performance data: zero to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in 5.9 seconds, top speed 234 km/h (145.40 mph), combined fuel consumption of 8.5 liters per 100 km (27.67 US mpg)."
Seems to be a slightly detuned version of the motor used in the A6 and S4/S5.
Power and good fuel consumption with the 8-speed gear box. Cannot wait...

According to Audi the 3.2 is quicker by about .4 of a second, but I did see at Edmunds that the 2.0T was quicker in their tests.
I I don't think the argument is whether or not the 3.2 is better than the 2.0T. Overal it is probably the better engine. The point is that it isn't better ENOUGH. The 3.0T should be better enough but the 3.2 just doesn't have a solid enough strength over the 2.0T to warrant the extra cash.
