Default Engine + Transmission swap

Hello,

Car 1 is a 110K miles 2010 Q5, 2.0 211HP, 7 speed S-Tronic in good cosmetic shape but with the engine busted, not sure if oil consumption related but highly likely. Cost of repair around $7K.

Car 2 is a 50K miles totaled 2013 Q5, 2.0 225HP, 8 speed, rear and left side ended. Engine and transmission are up for sale for $8K with a 30K miles warranty.

Would it be possible to swap both, engine and transmission from Car 2 to Car 1? Are there any other parts that might need to be swapped/changed as well? Or better stay away from this option and just repair Car 1? And If swap is actually possible, how much labor would be involved?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

I’m not seeing the advantage of the swap. The swap parts are ~$1K more, and with only 50K on the donor motor it’s unproven in terms of long term use (may still need repairs).

That doesn’t take into account the difference in electronics...

$7k and you’ve got a 2.0 up to date with fresh parts....

Im interested to see what others think
