i feel like we have many threads on this topic. I've only gotten her to 126...she got there quick too. Very stable, 120 feels like 80. Incredibly good car at speed, i love it

It is a solid platform and I had it at 210kph (130mph) for about 5-10minutes while driving the A63. You can see my specs in my signature. There is plenty more power too.. I wish I could get the higher european top speed set.

I'm a light weight the highest I've gone on the road is 105mph but the feeling was amazing. It just wanted to keep accelerating and it felt like I was just cruising down the freeway at 65mph. On the long road trips the one feeling I've had in the Q5 more than any other car is when you've been cruising at 90+ for a long time and you slow down to 50 or so it really feels like your crawling and just holding it back.

From what I understand, even without the electronic restriction, the Q5's top speed is 138 MPH or roughly 220 KPH. Thus there's not much of a difference between restricted and real top speed.

Just curious, but is this discussion centered around the 3.2L, the 2.0T, or both?
If the 2.0T, do you find it smooth at these higher speeds? One would think this to be the 3.2L's forte.

I took my loaner 2.0T up to about 90 MPH, It is just as smooth at high speed as my 3.2. The 2.0T have the same suspension, steering components and chassis, the only different is that it is a bit slower getting up to high speed.

From my post in early August...
It is smooth and responsive and it can get the Q5 up to 130mph without a whimper and I know it can get to the euro-spec 234kph (145mph) and more. In fact, here in Germany, the 3.2L has the highest top speed (limited, like the rest) and it is rated for a 6.9s 0-100kph (same as 0-60mph), while the 2.0 TFSI with the S-tronic is rated for 222kph (137mph) with a 0-60 of 7.2s. The 3.0 diesel has the quickest 0-60 of 6.5 but limited to the same top speed as the 2.0 TFSI. Funny, our US spec models are limited to 210kph or 130mph, whichever comes first.
So, I'm being ripped off of 15mph! :-) No matter the limited speed, this Audi has enough power to go beyond the limited speed and the platform is solid.
