Great detailed post Mark. I'm surprised that there's no MPG/Mileage review or numbers attached. Did I miss them?

Mark: Thanks for a great write up. I continue to live vicariously through you until my q5 tdi arrives, hopefully next weekend. I really appreciate you taking the time to write up your observations. Thank you sir!

Default Added comment for Cruise Control:

- Also, when resuming/using cruise control, it will shift into the top gear reasonable for the speed, regardless if you are in Sport mode (maybe true for Manual mode as well?). That is, if Sport mode at 60mph is 7th gear, and you then set cruise control, it will shift into 8th for efficiency. Pretty cool.

Default S-Line suspension

Thank you Mark for all of your contributions here! Could you please lend some insight into the variation of the suspensions settings and/or how it compares to standard suspension? Thank you !

WK
WK,

I don't specifically recall a comparison to the standard Q5 suspension. When I was testdriving, I noted it as being stiffer than my wife's VW Tigan. Now that I own it, while I still feel that way, it feels more compliant while still being sporty. Consider also that I have 20" wheels. What I do is switch between suspension settings of Comfort and Dynamic depending where I am driving. I use Dynamic mostly, and then Comfort when in city settings, or on a family trip that I won't be sporty driving, etc.

Specifically, I have my "Individual" setting to:
Suspension = Dynamic
Engine/Shift = Comfort
Steering = Comfort

And then I switch between "Individual" and "Comfort" which as you note only changes the Suspension setting, achieving my desire.

Mark
