Sorry if this has been asked before but what is the gas mileage like on the SQ5? I just got my SQ5 this week and it seems thirsty compared to my 2011 Q5 2.0t.
I was getting almost 680 km on a tank of premium in my 2.0t
Any ideas how many km per tank on the SQ5?

Per tank? That's not a very reliable measure since it depends on how long you wait before you fuel up. How about MPG or at least liters/100km.
Our 3.0t gets about 19 mpg in mixed driving. I can only imagine the SQ5 is even worse.

I get 18.9 mpg (US gals). Mostly city driving. Steve

It completely depends on your driving environments and habits. This is a bit of a silly post because you went from a turbo 4 to a high output supercharged 6. Gas mileage will take a big hit. I get about 16 mpg city and 23 highway and I drive in manual or sport about 60% of the time which really eats up fuel.

It sounds like I need to keep it in comfort mode to get reasonable gas mileage which makes sense. If I average close to 20 mpg I will be happy.
Thanks for the helpful feedback folks.

What I find silly is expressing fuel economy in terms of miles (or km) per tank.
If you fill up when you're down to 1/4 tank you'll get a completely different result than when you fill up when your on-board computer shows 0 miles (km) to empty. Very inaccurate method of comparing results.

Why would someone concerned with mileage choose the SQ5 over a 2.0 or TDI???
Although I often change between D, S, & M, I leave the Drive Select in Dynamic.
The only way I can justify it, is by measuring my SQ5 in "smiles-per-gallon."

In terms of measuring the gas mileage I only ever notice how many km I get on a tank.
No big deal.
