Are those speed cameras fixed? Or are they mobile?

Fixed. I was wondering if it's possible for MMI to signal alert when approaching the camera location.

My V1 has effectively become an 'Audi detector' on the freeway with all the SOB's who bought side assist lighting it up like a state trooper... booo!

Don't order/pull the fuse on side assist, and use your mirrors like a real driver.

Or a Mercedes Distronic detector. Try disabling POP and encouraging Valentine to work on a better bit of signal analysis.

Seriously - low power 24 GHz isn't regulated, so it only gonna get worse....

Side assist is not a alternative to looking in your mirrors. And if you think it is, then you are an idiot.

Turning off POP on the V1 works just fine for me.

That is exactly what it is... An aid for those who don't stay situationally aware *before* deciding to change lanes.

Default Did you miss the more relevant point?

Turn off (not needed) POP mode on your V1 and that should be the end of the aggravation.

Mark,

Have you settled on a location for the remote display yet? Do you plan to modify the remote display for fit like you did in he S4 or install as provided?

Also, how will you connect the mute button? Do you plan to use the 3-way direct-wire splitter sold by the same eBay seller? If so, how will that work with the Savvy? Is it possible to just use a regular telephone line splitter to make two accessory ports for the remote display and the mute button?

Answering my own splitter question:

Yes, a standard 4-wire telephone line splitter can be used to connect multiple accessories to the Acc Port on the Savvy. The V1 website identifies some 2-port options, but I have read successful reports of using 3-port splitters (e.g., for V1connection, concealed display, and mute button).
