Default Gross combined weight rating (GCWR) for 2014 Audi Q5 2.0t

I bought my Q5 for the 4,400-towing capacity but now I'm confused about how much I can actually tow. Is Audi one of the manufacturers to determines towing capacity after making an allowance for passengers and gasoline or do I have to subtract that weight from the towing capacity? I looked for GCWR, which could help give me an answer, but I can't find it to save my life.
Thanks,
Mark

Open your drivers door, look at the bottom of the pillar between front and rear doors for a label that contains this information.

Thanks for your note, but I looked there before posting and found only the GVWR, which is not the same as the GCWR I’m trying to determine, plus the front and rear GAWRs, which don’t help me either.

And you checked the owners manual.

Yes, thanks. Nothing there but instructions to look at the tag at the bottom of the door pillar.

Pages 213-216 talk about tongue weight max 400 lbs and max unbraked trailer weight of 1650 lbs.

Page 290 talks about GAWR Gross Axle Wheel Rating and how you should adjust.

Understood. What I need to know is either the Gross Combined Weight Rating of the Q5 and the tow or how Audi calculates towing capacity, which will tell me if I need to subtract passenger, gasoline and cargo weight from the 4400 pounds to get the actual tow capicity.

Since they don't mention anything about it, I would assume you don't need to subtract anything. Well... you will have to subtract the tongue weight from your car max loading capacity.

That's my hope. It would mean that I would have true 4,400-pound towing capacity and ample room in the Q5 for passengers. But I'd be a lot more confident if I could find a combined weight figure and do the math to confirm it. So I'm trying to get my service guy, who didn't have an immediate answer, to track it down with Audi.

Perhaps a reparable trailer vendor could advise better.
