Default Hard acceleration hesitation

There have been a few times that I have experienced a momentary power cut under full acceleration and was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

It happens at about 2 - 3 seconds into a matted run or merge manoeuvre from relatively low speed and is a sudden power choke and a lurch that feels as if it might be a software issue that is also transmission linked. I have the Stasis tune so if anything I suspect that will be the first place to look. I'm sure it would have been mentioned here if others experienced it (tuned or otherwise) but thought I would throw it out there before taking it in.

This is (obviously) a serious issue from both a safety and a holy-sh*t point of view. Not cool.

After reading JBT's recent post on "blubbering" I thought I would stay ahead of the ball and clarify that this is not "blubbering" or slight shift hesitation. My experience involves a full throttle cut.

My tune is APR and I have this in 1st or 2nd gear under hard acceleration sometimes. It is a quick power cut. Mine only ever does this once in a blue moon though.

I don't think it has to do with any particular tune as it does with transmission or the engine set up itself.

I get it running in manual, so it's not even a gear shifting issue. But it doesn't happen all the time.

I seem to remember someone saying it may have something to do with the way the valve-lift technology switches over something in the coilpacks at a certain RPM. That stuff is a bit over my head, but I remember hearing that somewhere, and it causes a momentary hesitation in the engine. It may just be a TFSI thing.
