Headlights left on buzzer?

I haven't driven my Q5 in the dark for 2 weeks and last night when I turned the car on in the dark the headlights were on. I don't use "Auto" mode, thus the the light switch was in the headlight position for 2 weeks. Not a big deal as the headlights go off when the ignition is turned off. First, I looked up in the manual that there isn't any icon in the dash to let you know your headlights are on like previous Audi's (dumb move Audi), but it states that when you have your light switch in the headlight position, turned off the car, removed the key and open the door, you should hear a buzzer. I don't! Will a kind soul check this on the 2014, or 2013 Q5 for me? Thanks!

It does beep on my 2013. One continuous beep (instead of beep-beep-beep-beep), quite loud and annoying, too. If the beep is there, I don't think you would have missed it.
Hope this helps.

I have a 2013 Hybrid Q5.
I usually drive with my lights on auto. One time, when I was getting out of my car, my knee brushed the light switch to full 'on' and the car immediately beeped loudly at me. I switched the lights back to auto and the beep stopped. The car was off and the door was open at the time.
I see no reason not to keep the light switch in the auto button all the time. It's safer for everyone.

I don't disagree, but isn't this why we have DRLs. Plus leaving the Xenon's on all the time is asking for a $200+ bill to change early burned out bulbs.
