Do the Q5's come with heated side mirrors, either standard or part of an option package? I have a 2011 Prestige and was surprised to notice that during my first snow/freezing weather event that the side mirrors do not defrost - making them difficult to use in winter weather. I would expect this would be a standard feature on a German luxury vehicle. Still learning the nuances of the Q5, so maybe the feature is there & I just haven’t figured out how to turn it on?

i have a 2011 q5 premium plus 2.0t and mine has it. it is standard on all q5's including the base premium 2.0 if i remember right i believe the controls go left heat right and the bottom is power fold in.

yes. If you just leave the mirror **** on the center 'heated' position all of the time, the mirrors will automatically turn on when the temperature drops below a certain level and not turn on otherwise. If you have it in that center position in the summer time and such, the heaters do not just stay on running...only when the temp drops.

FYI too, if you put the **** in the right position, and then go in reverse, the right side mirror will automatically drop down and to the right so you can see curbs and such when backing out. Then go back to your programmed position when you put it into drive.
