The previous owner of my car tinted the pano glass very dark. So much, that I do not feel any radiant heat coming through on a hot summer day. I never use the sunshade because it is setup this way and may be a good cheap alternative.

Hello all,
I have a Q7, used to go pick up kid from school, wait time was approx an hour in Texas summer! for a Temp solution made a layer of paper hand towel and placed it between the sunroof and sun shade. Forgot about taking it off and a month later just hit the open button on the shade. the paper layer got rolled in and shade wont go in completely. In order to get the paper out ended up removing the shade itself. Dealership gave me $1000 part and $3500 Labor price.
DYI is not possible as we need to take the whole roof apart. My last resort will be to get the MAX TINT on sunroof but i would like not to do that.
Need a thick shade that blocks all the heat and sunlight and does not look bad. Dont need sunlight at all.
The total dimensions I need is approx 35" wide and 40" long for the 1st and second row.
Please HELP!
