I just ordered my 2010 Audi Q5 which is also US spec. I am in the military and we will be shipping this back so that is why we ordered US spec. The issue is that the navigation system has US maps and we live in Germany. Has anyone else ever ran into this issue? if so, what was your solution? We have a separate GPS but we'd rather use the gorgeous built-in system.

Take a look at the Euro delivery discussion forum.
AFAIK Nav systems differ US and EU. Upgrade coming soon but not avail as yet.

Unfortunately, there is no solution. I'm told by Audi that the US and European NAV systems are not interchangeable. Audi provides a Garmin to ED customers to use while they are traveling in Europe.

Where did you order your Q5 from? Just curious as I ordered mine though the military sales in the UK. Ordered in early December expecting delivery in late Feb. As for the maps thing... everything I have read says it's nearly impossible, though there may be some options that could end up voiding warranty... don't quote me on that. For me the maps don't matter that much as I'm heading back to the states this summer...

I am over here as well and I've asked around and received the same answer: It can't be done. My dealer said that there is a fella north of here (Wiesbaden) who has european maps that will install correctly but will only get you to-from major points, not street level. It was for around 60euro... I've chosen to use my Garmin and save the navi system for when we go back in 2012. We just have to deal with it!
