My Audi service rep says they don't even carry 20 weight and have always used Castro 5W-30; apparently they have stickers that pre-print the wrong weight which he intends to have changed to avoid future issues. So, at least my engine hasn't been wrecked...thanks to all

While I was waiting on a tire repair, I saw someone pull into the bay at my dealer. A service advisor came out with a bottle of the Castrol Edge Synthetic and topped them off. I could not see the weight, but the bottle is distinct.

I do mine in both 2.0T audis at 7500. The Q5 is burning a quart every 2K miles so i have to add one. The A4 doesn't burn a drop. I change my own oil and use Mobil 1 0W-40.

Remember that there are two Castrol Edge oils that sound/look(label colors) similar. One is Edge with SPT and the other is Edge with S yntec P ower T echnology. The one with SPT lists on the front that it meets VW/Audi requirements.
