he also said that if its wheel bearing you could hear it with windows down. Technician is pretty nice and old guy, been with audi for 20 years. I guess hes right.

Hi, the same problem happened to my SQ5, at 35mph.
In my case, I could hear from the beginning, and as the mileage reaches near 5k miles now, I don't think it is related to tyres or any sort of 'break in' process.
The technician says it may be related to rear differential damper, but he is not confident.
Do you have any updates?

It was alignment. One of toe was off and caused one of tire make noise only when speed reach 35mph.

I was gonna say drive 34 or 36, but sounds like a warranty repair. LOL

Had my car fixed today.
The technician showed me a TPI numbered 2037240/2, about Q5/SQ5s with whining noise on rear axle differential while driving at 55km/h.
It was related to a weight balance whose part code is 0BC 525 526.
After test driving and fixing, he issued me a service report describing a replacement of the part "0BC 525 526C" with a new one, "0BC 525 526D".

For the weight balance, you can find it at the following link, numbered (2): Rear axle differential for Audi Audi Q5 2013 RDW parts catalog
