This whole fiasco with the TDI side show has truly changed my feeling about a car I thought I was going to keep for the next 10 years.
If they offer me a MSRP buyback I am THERE.
How about the rest of you?

through the comments, supposedly a buy back would be at the 2015 value. But yes I'd take a full Msrp but that's impossible, since some didn't pay msrp

And even with a buyback at the Sept 2015 value, that will be a problem for folks with 'young' cars. Mine was 8 months old in Sept 2015 and we all know the first year depreciation is murder.

Oh yeah... An offer of MSRP or what I paid for it would result in me giving it back to them and an order being placed for one exactly like it but with a 3.0T.

I was hoping MSRP less some reasonable amount per mile to reflect the value each of received in driving the vehicle. And of course hope they will refund value of unused Audi Care.
On a similar note, what would you replace your Q5 with? Not much out there excites me at the moment. Have thought about a new Q7 but I also hate the fact that VW knowingly cheated all of us and for that I am not sure I want to give them any more of my business. And as someone has pointed out, VW is going to be financially challenged for so many years to come that I would expect some negative consequences (e.g. them fighting a warranty claim to spare a few bucks).

Hopefully that May 19 will give us a definitive answer. I did read today that CARB wants diesel semi-trailer rigs to be ZERO emissions by 2050 by using CNG. So.....maybe they are not going to allow the TDI partial "fix" that allows a lessened NOx rate of emission on our 3.0 liter engines.
