The sport package comes with paddle shifter as well?

i personally prefer the monsoon to the lava. but did you lose the B&O in the switcharoo?

Yes it does.
Believe it or not, I use them far more than I thought I would too. Coming from a long string of manuals, I've always scoffed at the whole "paddle-shifter" phenomenon, DSG or otherwise. I just wasn't a big fan after having driven several examples. But...now that I have the option, and the 8-speed is a pretty decent auto, I find the manual/auto-override capability useful. Paired with the 3.0T, I think this is one of the best powertrain combos I've ever driven.

In hindsight, the sport package was well worth the extra $$. I had a 2.0T Prem Plus loaner during service w/o it, and (ignoring the glaring omission of the 3.0T...) found myself really missing that option.

Isn't the Sport package cost only $500 extra? Man, I should have added to my Q5.
