Default Inflatable spare

Was wondering if anyone here has had to use their inflatable spare yet--and, if so, how difficult was it to get it back in its storage compartment after deflating?

I’m curious about this as well.

By the way, why does a “utility” vehicle have an inflatable spare? The spare should be a full, inflated, ready to go spare tire that is indistinguishable from the other four. Donuts on cars are bad enough but a flat donut on a vehicle in this category is unacceptable. Shame on you Audi!

is the pump fixed to the car or can it be taken out and used to fill all of the tires?

Haha--well, actually I have already had a flat. UNFORTUNATELY, I had an air compressor in my garage that resolved that issue well enough to make it to the nearest tire place. :-D

I just test drove one and unfortunately got a flat. I changed the tire with little trouble.
To be honest , I was a little skeptical of the inflatable spare system, but it worked fine.
I would bet most people will call roadside assistance. I have no idea how well the collapsible spare deflates.

I would agree with comments regarding the desirability of just having a ready to go doughnut over the inflatable.
