Our TT arrived in Houston on Tuesday 9/6. It was delivered to the dealer on Thursday 9/15 and was ready for delivery the following day. They said this is typical.
The Thanksgiving holiday might slow things down a bit, however. If the Cougar Ace arrives in Houston on the 15th or 16th, I am figuring 2 more weeks before my Q5 makes it up here.
Chicago would probably take a couple of days longer. Figure the last week of November.

It may be possible to do so, but the information is not easily available. Once the shipment has been delivered to the U.S port, and the transport company has the car, allow ten days to two weeks for it to arrive at the dealer.

Looks like my q might be on the cougar ace also. I was told port arrival on 11/21 but that it would be arriving in Houston... Odd considering it is supposed to be delivered to Seattle, but I guess it might be faster than the canal?

According to Audi of America, unless your car is a European Delivery vehicle that was transported over, the lot of new Audis are all cleared as one unit by customs and it takes about 3 hours. If your vehicle was a European Delivery vehicle it can take as much as a month for customs to clear it. This is what I was told on the phone when I was getting the name of the boat my car was on. My experience has been the delay from port to dealership lies with the carrier who transports the vehicles from the port to the dealership.

I'd say about 1 week. Once your car is loaded on a car carrier rig it's 1-2 days at the most to Chicago...then another 1-2 days for dealer to prep.

Well, considering that the vehicles would have been offloaded from the Cougar Ace yesterday, in Houston (CA departed Houston Port yesterday-hopefully our autos are not on the way to Veracruz)& excepting a "Euro Delivery", those Audis should have secured Customs' blessings maybe yesterday or, the latest, today!
Is there any additional "prep" or servicing to be had in Port, before the vehicles are actually loaded on transport to dealers?
