My iPod/iPhone cable in the glove box used to charge my iPhone and 80GB iPod no problem...
The last few weeks it has stopped charging and loading/playing music...
I had it in for my 5K service and told the service writer that it was no longer working properly. When I went to pick up the car they told me it is not supposed to charge. That there is a bulletin explaining that but they were unable to procure such a document...
Those that have the cable, does it charge your iPod/iPhone when attached? Or just load music.

Yes, our ipod never comes out of there...
(Except when the wife is given a $10 Itunes card that causes her to spend $100 on new songs she wants me to put on the ipod

Thanks...I knew it had to, just wanted to make sure I wasn't crazy. Pulled the old 80GB out of the drawer dead as grandma's cat, and it worked so it had to charge.
Not sure why they're trying to tell me it isn't supposed to...

Also, none of the charger ports in the car work when the car is off. A tad annoying as many cars do this (even very cheap ones).
The one that kills me is the one in the rear compartment. It would be used for tailgates, camping, etc., yet it doesn't have power unless the car is running. Which is not feasible. I'm sure it can be changed somehow with fuses, but I'm not sure how to figure that one out.
