Yes I agree that your opinion does not mean much in this situation, but one of the reasons we are on this forum is for help from fellow car owners/enthusiasts. I was just offering so that you might gain some more info/insight on this issue. My car now has ~1100 miles. Yes it is a rough , jerking shift, worse on the 2 to 1 downshift sometimes with a bit of a clunk.

Hmmm 'perform adaptation on Trans-module' - I wonder if that is a function that can be done using the vag com.
There is a similar procedure that can be done for throttle bodies on VAG vehicles called throttle adaptation which can be done with a vag com as well.

Jerk going into 1Gear
my 2009 Q5 also thumps like when going into 1st Gear... to be honest this should not be the case, it should shift to gears with out any jerks looks like a factory fault, I believe it’s a common fault on all Q5...
last week when I started it the sign popped up “ NO R GEAR....
