Q5 owners,
I have a 2010 Prestige s-line .
My girlfriend is really irritated that the memory seat adjusts when I open the driver door. (i programmed position 1 to my keyfob)
She has her own master key but it never adjusts for her. (i *believe* i programmed her key to be position 2).
My question is, can 2 keys be in the proximity at once and will the car know who is the "primary" driver? I've tried leaving my key at home and instructed her to unlock the car first then opening the driver door, but to no avail. She still has to press on the #2 memory button.
I've read the manual cover to cover, but her key will not adjust her seat.
I know there are several options to try through the process of elimination. I could give her my key and see, but i'm HAPPY with my settings and I don't feel like giving in....lol....it cracks me up everytime when she wants to drive, and when its my turn the car loves me so much it adjusts the seat/mirror for me! :-)

I believe each fob has it's own settings so if your fob was used to program position 2 then her fob has no program. I.e. technically you can have 4 saved positions fob 1, 1 2 and then fob 2, 3 4

Both my wife and I have set our key fobs memory to on. What i did for each was to start the car with the key fob in the dash then set my memory seat position, then make sure that the key fob memory was enabled in the car setup menu. Check your girlfriend's car-setup-keyfob memory setting next time she starts the car. So far, my seats automatically adjust each time either me or my wife open the door. Really nice feature.

had to do the exact thing when the wife decided she NEEDED to swap key fobs for her daily driver Q5 ![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
What I did (and there may be a shortcut) but this worked for me..
locked and unlocked with 'her' settings...
started the car with her key...
then pushed set and set both 1 and 2 to her settings...
let her take it to ensure it worked for her...
then next time I drove I just moved the seat back to my settings and pusehd the set button for #2 which was my key fob...
our other cars had similar setting procedures, but I always found this was the path that needed the least explaining ...
