A remote start, as with anything else you do your vehicle, will not void the entire warranty of your vehicle. However, if a problem occurs and the mfg. can directly link the issue to something that was done aftermarket, they have the right to deny a warranty claim fo repair.

Well if its dealer installed wouldnt that mean the warranty definitely wouldnt be void? That makes sense i guess. And we are in MA as well, is the system you are referring to a dealer system or aftermarket

aftermarkter. it will be pointless for Audi Dealers to do remote starters for their customer's since they will be charging ridiculous amount when they can have it installed else where that will not void any warranty at a lower cost.

Warranty will not be void unless they pin point that the remote starter is the cause of failure.

This seems consistent with what my dealer in NJ told me. I bought from Paul Miller and they are the dealer that offers the remote start at around $700. They have a guy who has studied the car and knows how to modify our remotes. The install still needs a separate fob to work but it works. I will probably have this done at 500k service.

new tech new install does not need a fob key. all done by codings since our FOB's are sensed by the car.i've seen it done with car's that has push start. it works but quite expensive
