Good point, Bob!
Like I said before - a lot of BMW executives lost their sleep (and bonuses) because of Q5 success. (OK, I don't know exactly how many - I just assume).

Lexus has it's positives - reliability, quality materials, fit and finish and excellent customer service, but literally 5 minutes into the Q5 and I was hooked. It is an oversimplification to say the Audi Q5 is a driver's car, the 350 is a woman's/commuter/ cushy car, but there is truth to it.
I agree, when we test drove the 2010 RX, it was even more minivan like than the previous gen. Lexus pride themselves on their isolation of the outside environment, unfortunately, they also isolate the steering, suspension and acceleration too much. Some people actually like that type of old school ride especially if you are a passenger. Like many have already said, German cars are driver's car and Lexus are passenger's car.

I just drove through Germany. The majority of the SUVs/Crossovers in the passing lane? The Q5 and X5!
Actually, I've only seen 1 RX.

I'm pretty sure the RX is not a very popular vehicle in Japan since Lexus is not in the JDM market. I believe it's known as the Toyota Kluger which i don't think is very popular as well. Let me do some research and edit this if necessary!

It's known as the Toyota Harrier. Not sure how it sells but i dont think its that strong in sales as it is over here in the US
