Pano cost £1100 here in the UK. Not worth THAT much in my opinion.
We also keep our cars long enough to worry about resale.

I wish you luck that your new Audi will last this long...

By the time it reaches 100K, you'll be looking at thousands of dollars in repairs every year.

Wow, that didn't happen with my 99 1.8T A4 which I sold with 120K and it was still running strong. My 06 A4 has 60K and no repairs yet. I hope things haven't slipped with the Q5 as you predict.

I hope you didn’t jinx yourself
I agree with some of the other here, no pano roof with a dark roof liner makes the inside of the car look like a closed in cave. The pano roof is great for the rear seat passengers as well as the front, it gives the interior an open feeling to it and it’s great for those cold New England days where you can feel the warmth of the sun and it heats the car up quickly as well, but to each his own I guess. Congrats and enjoy your new Q5.

Hey, it's NMW1982 who is predicting long term expensive Audi repairs, not me. My track record has been nothing but positive so I'm expecting my Q5 to provide years of reliable service with only needed maintenance.

I wasn't being sarcastic. I too have a Q5 on the way and I hope that it lasts. But with Audi's track record, I have my doubts about reliability.

The fact is Western made cars are never as reliable as Japanese made cars. But Japanese cars are snoozers to drive. There are trade-offs to everything in life.

My bother and I both purchased SUVs in 2002. I got the ML320. He got the Acura MDX. He had to replace his transmission twice, A/C compressor, front suspension components, and his shifter on the MDX. I had to do a water pump at 110K on my ML. My experinences are much different then yours when it comes to quaility of these cars. You are probably reading consumer reports, right?

You must have been one of the unlucky few. Generally Japanese cars are the kind of cars that take lots of abuse and keep on running.

I neglected my Honda and drove it close to 40,000 miles without changing the oil once and it kept on running. If I did this with a Euro car, I it would have sputtered after the first 15,000.

You need to read my posts closer. I was the lucky one who went German. My brother was the unlucky one who went Japenese.

So, I'm looking forward to 8-10 years of reliable, unexpected-repair-free service from the Q5
