Typically old worn out tires will be louder than brand new ones, even if they are the exact same model.

I had to put a set of Michelin Pilot Sport AS 3s on last week. No significant highway miles yet but they feel fine - quite comparable to the Bridgestones they replaced. Steve

i have used various vintages of Michelin A/S over 12 years on three vehicles . i am happy with them as a late spring. summer & early fall tire only

for winter , i swear by various versions of Nokian Hakkapelita. I have used them as a winter tire for over 25 years on 6 vehicles with no issues. no studs allowed where we live

I love the Nokia's, too.

The A/S 3+ definitely have a stiffer sidewall than the Conti's...and I feel/hear the road imperfections a bit more. But, for the 500 miles of mostly highway driving I did this weekend, they felt like a great tire.

No complaints!

I wasn't aware of that change, but it's definitely good to know for future reference. The old PS A/S that I had were really just a three season tire, but that was pre-2011. I'm not a huge fan of the DWS 06 I'm running now, so hopefully there will be some more size options for the 3+ when I need new rubber.

Just had them in a short, but heavy, rainstorm on the drive to work this morning...

Great traction, very confident with these tires!

I hit a curb accidentally and the tire got more damage then the wheel.

Tire bead torn, had to be replaced. Wheel was fine and mounted the replacement on it.

I had the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S and they were very slippery on light snow. I sold them. I now have the DWS 06 and they are relatively good on snow.

Which 3 seasons would that be?

He said light snow, not a blizzard.

If an all season tire can't handle light snow, it should just be a summer tire, dry/wet tire right?
