Took delivery of my 2011 Q5 2.0T P+, and within the first day, I think I broke the mirror adjustment ****. I accidentally turned the **** too far to the left, thinking it would fold the mirrors, but quickly realized after I did it that the **** was now freely spinning and did not have the defined 'stops' at each of the different selections.
Has anyone else done this?
BTW...The Q5 is an amazing vehicle.

Yes. The P+ has heated/folding mirrors. I can get the mirrors to fold and have them set to auto-fold when I lock the car with the fob. My issue is that I can only get them to fold while in the car by turning the **** to the right, and the **** does not have specific spans/detents at each of the modes. So you have to look at each of the modes and where the line on the **** is and line them up. It becomes a real PITA at night since the line on the **** is not illuminated.
I'll need to have the dealer take a look at it when I go to pickup my front grille filler plate from removing the front license plate holder. Hopefully they do not need to pull the dar apart.

Sorry but I agree with nooB5 that you've got a broken mirror ****.
If I recall though, you can turn the **** 360 degrees without any problems. You should have 4 **** positions.
I do worry that the **** will break off sooner or later. I try not to turn the **** very often because it just doesn't feel sturdy enough to withstand frequent turning.
