Lexus and Infiniti are known to have special promotional event toward end of the year. i'm wondering which month does Audi have similar one. i'm fairly certain to get a new '14 Q5 3.0T PP with just MMI and Sport interior within the next 6 month. Carsdirect showing it can be had for around $47.5k around my area (southern california). can i do better than this?

In 13 years buying Audis, I've never seen any factory pricing promos other than various loyalty discounts and occasionally, finance offers. It's negotiation with the dealer that determines the price. That said, if you don't want to go through the haggle dance, join Audi Club of North America. They offer a 6% discount program with no haggling needed with most dealers participating. You need to be a member for 6 months or purchase a lifetime membership to qualify (though some have reported this can be waived). If you are good at negotiating, often the best time to buy any car is at the end of the month when quotas are trying to be met. (This only works with cars in a dealer's inventory and not ordered ones).
