Default More Oomph for the 2.0T

Love the wife's Q5 - Only two issues I have with it after 15K miles
1) Navigation - maps will never be up to date and finding Points of Interest is horrible (but they CAN get you to the nearest Audi dealer easily!)

2) Not quite enough Oomph for me...

One of the local dealers is a Stasis dealer and came close to that, but wanted to do some research since I come from a tuning background and then read stories like this:
https://www.audiworld.com/forums/sho....php?t=2817059

So the holiday sales by the major players interested me...
Looked at APR, AWE, etc... on forums:
http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...nd-dyno-charts
but decided on Revo since there's a KNOWLEDGEABLE installer in my area...

Have only driven it from the installer to the house because we have house guest that came in yesterday...
but MY GOODNESS I'm already happy with the results !

As Don Istook stated I probably won't get better mpg at first since I will be enjoying the new performance, but can see where the increased torque will make the driving & mpg better !

It's like an engine transplant happened
Don't get me wrong stock is good, but this is "AWESOME"

Call your local Revo dealer today !

Default BSR

Another possibility:

Easy to swap setup, and stores the original setup.

JBT,

Get your guest in the Q and do some driving and report back! LOL

One question. When I download their NA application guide, I only see a listing for the Q5 2.0 diesel. No numbers for the 211 HP 2.0T gasoline engine. I'm I looking in the wrong place? Now I see the A4 application. Guess thats it.

BTW. I'm up to 580 miles on the new Q. It's almost time to "boost the boost".

Congrats and glad to see you took the plunge JBT!

I'm going to wait until I put some more miles under my belt but I will surely get one of the stage 1 software upgrades.

Was thinking APR but I'll keep researching until I've driven more miles.

The website only gives a range for power increase. Did they tell you what your increase should be? The link you provided in almost 6 years old and I assume there are new DYNO charts.

Congrats again and keep us updated!!!

Yes, the sites are older links as I was too excited after the drive to breakfast this morning to find recent ones... but that link was for a 2.0T so it is similar...

this new revo tune for the 2.0T Q5 comes with stock - 91, 93, and 100 octane tunes standard.
Got this done WITHOUT any hardware changes or removal/shipping of ecu...
dropped it off before lunch and got a call back right after lunch that it was ready. also am getting the little obd switcher so I can change tunes as needed.

second drive impressions seems it downshifts less often as it has much more low end torque and can pull without downshifting...

I assume all tuners WILL be close,
my experience from the diesel tuning world is just the different tuners make the power in different ways, some more high end hp, some low end torque, some, etc...

this was recommended by a long time audi racer who (I would surmise) has tried them all and his 400 hp audt ttrs is stout !
http://www.google.com/#sclient=psy-a...w=1366&bih=712

will certainly let you know as more seat time and logging are gathered...
(have a 1/8th mile track about 15 minutes away that I can get some comparisons done for "you" if you are interested in straight line performance too)

Congrats on the upgrade! It's always good to get it done from a local dealer (for that extra peace of mind)...

My area has an APR dealer and the install required removal of the ECU, but all is great (power delivery is fairly smooth). The main attraction to APR is that I can change program without any additional hardware (it's done via the cruise control stalk).

I'm sure you will be enjoying the car a lot more now that there's more power on tap

hey John,

Did you do your tuning at DFW Audi, or at an independent dealer? I'm living in the area too and am interested in doing what you did. Could you give me a point to where to go for this? I have an 2011 2.0 PP

How much did this little performance boost cost?

NOT at dealer - http://www.istooks.com/

Cost - here's where I heard about it ? so hurry before 12-31

https://www.audiworld.com/forums/sho...ight=revo+sale

more driving today and still pleased with just the around town behavior being more responsive...

obviously I don't have any empirical data yet,
(but hope to have within the next week after my guests leave)
but just impressions so far
(and those impressions are that it is well worth it!)

Heck - just getting to see the first audi ttrs imported int the states was a nice plus !
