My Dealer here in North Texas has sold 17 Q5's in the last month alone. They are flying off the lot faster than they can get them. They are trading for cars all over the country to get them in. When my wife and I bought ours there was six on the lot and another one sold that evening. Went to the dealership yesterday for my plates and the only one they had was a White S-line that was used in an audi road test recently in Arkansas...he wouldnt say which magazine it was but I kinda think I knew....anyway they are flying off the lots here in TX!

That's pretty interesting. I've been consistently checking out the inventory at all the dealerships in southern California and they always seem to have quite a few. Of course, CA got hit a lot harder that Texas did...

All the '09 Q5's are sold out in Atlantic Canada, 6X 2010's on order for July through October delivery. Portland Maine is sold out as well, the dealer leased one to keep as a demo and they told me they have a few 2010's on order for customers.

Another question I have that I forgot to ask earlier:

When calculating tax do they use the entire sum, in this case $42,800, or only the number after subtracting the trade-in value involved?

Default Dealer

I own an A6 and wanted a Q5 to replace my Jetta. I got jacked around so bad by the dealer who had a yard full of Q5's. He was emotionally attached to each of them. I ended up buying a 2010 RX 350 which I really like. The Lexus dealer was a lot easier and more professional than the Audi clunks.

I traded in my 2007 A4 for a 2010 Q5 and was only charged GST on the price, less my trade in value. Not the entire sum.

I would assume it's similar in the US?

cheers

The price they quoted me included the tax on the cost of the vehicle before factoring in the trade-in...
