My experience with XZilon x4 protection
I purchased XZilon x4 alongside Audicare and paint film with my 2011 Q5. I can now report that I am happy with all 4 purchases.
For whatever reason (bad driver maybe?) I have the habit of curbing the wheels on just the expensive cars I own. 16" wheels on my old Saab 9-3? Perfect. 20" S-Line wheels on my Q5? Curb em at the drop of a hat. After the latest particularly nasty curbing I had an epiphany. I purchased this "scam" product called XZilon X4 for $700 with my Q5. It promised 5 years of paint, interior, windshield and wheel protection. Thinking back what sold me on XZilon was the wheel damage protection which the Salesman assured covered "user error".
As I retrieved my contract and logged into the XZilon website I was thinking that surely there was no way that this company would cover the curbing my wife and I managed to inflict on all 4 ( yes, all 4) wheels. Once I logged in, there was a pretty nifty web interface for damage claims. Lo and behold there was a claim section for wheels where I could indicate which wheels had damage and what type of damage (including curb rash). So I completed the somewhat embarrassing process of reporting the damage to all 4 wheels.
Here's where it gets good. Two days later I get a call from XZilon telling me they received my online claim and that they had dispatched the repair to a mobile wheel repair company in my hometown called Alloy Wheel Repair Specialist and they would be calling me to arrange the service. Whoa, really? It can't be this easy, could it? I mean decent wheel repair is $100-$175 per wheel (at least around Seattle). Still skeptical that this would go smoothly I set up the appointment. The repair company showed up in a mobile repair truck that contained all of the repair, painting and clear coating tools one needs to make wheels new again. The tech (Levi) was a really nice kid,, told me the costs were covered by XZilon and then explained the repair process he would employ and how he would restore the wheels to original condition.
And boy did he ever. It took about 4 hours but he removed the rash, repainted the wheels a perfect match and re-clear coated each one to showroom condition. He told me the charge per wheel typically runs $160 making my $700 XZilon investment well worth it in my mind. Kudos to XZilon and Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists for delivering great results. If you're in the market for a new Audi and have the nasty habit of curbing your wheels think about bucking up for XZilon. I was sure glad I did.

I too purchased a coverage for rims from my dealership and have used it once.
Be thankful you had such an easy experience!! Mine took me 6 months to resolve (tho' 1 month was me waiting to switch from my summer s-line 20's to the winter wheels so I would not be out of the car for a few days).
Here in NH/MA there is NO visiting service and you MUST go through a shop - this added to the inconvenience and issue of getting it approved through the insurance co.
The rim was well repaired & looks great - but that was the shops work not the back & forth arguing with the coverage agents!!
