Default Nail in the tire

The TPMS really does work. I got a warning indicating my rear right tire has low air. I checked the tire and it looked fine. After checking it thoroughly, sure enough there is a nail on the outer edge of the tire. I went to local tire shops and even audi dealership but no one will repair as it closer to the outer edge. Tire rack has a new tire for $250 but after shipping tax etc I am looking at $300+. The car only has 8k miles and tires are in excellent shape so do I need to have the newer tire shaved down? Also, anyone recommend a good place to buy the Michelin's latitude? .. 235 55 r19 h101 rating

thanks

Default

TireRack has a Road Hazard Program for select tires at select times. Maybe give them a call.
