Hi,
I finally received my 2013 Q5 3.0 in Daytona Grey Pearl and the Chestnut Brown Interior. I spent today getting winter tires and after driving around for a few hours I have a few comments.
The 3.0 is extremely smooth and fast. I haven't pushed it too hard as I plan on keeping this car for a few years but compared to the 2.0T in my A4 this engine definitely can move this SUV.
Even with the S Line package and setting the steering and suspension to dynamic it does feel a little mushy compared to the A4 with an S Line package. Not sure if I should be making the comparison but this is my first SUV so I think it will take some time to aclimatize to this vehicle.
The Bluetooth streaming is nice and I am glad that Audi finally has this feature available.
The side assist works well and it's the first time I've had it in a car.
The B&O sound is well worth the premium. I had it in my 09 A4 Avant but did not get it in the new A4 (it's the wife's car!) and I can definitely tell the difference in sound.
Just one question though.
How do I turn off the automatic locking feature once I am past 15km/h? I've turned it off in the A4 but that option does not seem to be in the Q5 MMI menu.
I will post some pictures once we have a little sun.
For those looking to purchase in Toronto, I was able to get 7.7% off of list price including the loyalty and supplier discount.
Thanks

Congrats! Nice colour choice.
BTW, you're not too late to do the "motoman" break-in. I recommend it. My S4 (3.0T) which I gingerly broke-in always burnt some oil (about 1L/8-10k km). With the Q5 I used the motoman technique which entails bring the engine to red-line periodically (don't have to use WOT) and once at red-line using engine braking to slow the car. Using this technique the Q5 has used no oil in 4k km, and the exhaust tips are noticeably cleaner as compared to the S4.
