Hi everyone,
Right now the Q5 has the stock set up. Wanting to improve the look and improvement.
I probably would want either Red or Silver calipers.
Question without spending a lot of $, where can I find aftermarket sets for the Q5 and could I use sets I see for sale from A4/S4?
thank you.

I would recommend Hawk Performance Ceramic pads. Low noise and dust in my experience.

I'll let others address presumably drilled and/or slotted rotors.
You shouldn't need new calipers, simply paint them. A host of colors available: http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/acces...=Caliper+Paint

I wanted cross drilled rotors on my car and saw on Zeckhausen Racing website that Stoptech had larger rotors ( 345x30) that were a factory size in Europe. I ordered the special brackets as that setup used the same caliper just moved out some (ala the old A4 - A8 caliper mod using TT brackets) and then when my shop went to order the larger rotor from Stoptech they said they can not cross drill that size. So I am stuck having to go down to the original size for the US (320x30) for cross drilled.
I have the brackets coming from Europe if anyone is interested since I can no longer use them.
Painting is a great option - I have done it on my old A4 and loved the results. See the picture where I did the painting and the A8 cross drilled rotors
I'm going Centric Posi Pads as I have them on the RS4 and they are very dust free.

Painting stock calipers a bright color to "look" like a BBK = FAIL
